Applying to OPX Partners

We believe that our hiring process should provide all candidates with the opportunity to learn more about OPX Partners as well as demonstrate their capabilities and potential. All candidates should know what to expect and how to prepare according to the role for which they are applying. We also learn more about you and what might make you a good fit for the OPX Partners team. The process should be fair and transparent, with easy-to-understand steps along the way.

What to expect when applying

To get to know us better before applying, we offer candidates informal meet-and-greets. Once you have decided to apply to OPX Partners, you will go through the following steps.

Your application is reviewed by our recruiting team based on problem solving abilities, leadership experience, entrepreneurial drive, and motivation to join OPX Partners.

Interview preparation
Candidates invited to an interview will receive coaching from one of our consultants to help prepare for the interview.

In the interviews, you have a chance to demonstrate your skills across three key dimensions – problem solving, leadership, and entrepreneurial drive. Your problem solving abilities are assessed through solving business cases. Leadership and entrepreneurial drive are discussed from your previous experience.

Provided there is a match – you will be given an employment offer to consider.

Preparing for the interviews

Interviews at OPX Partners are designed to help you demonstrate your approach to problem solving and to tell us about your experience, motivations, and interpersonal skills

Before the interviews

If you have limited experience from case interviews we encourage you to practice on case examples like those available through online casebooks from MBA programs like Harvard and Wharton, and other casebooks like “Case in point“.

Prepare to discuss real situations where you have demonstrated leadership, team collaboration, and your unique professional and/or personal drive. Describe the situations as clearly as possible, including the context, your role, and contributions. Be prepared to answer questions as specifically as possible.

During the case interview

  • Listen to the interviewer and ask clarifying questions if needed
  • Focus on the most important drivers that generate the most value
  • Work hypothesis-driven and clearly state any assumptions
  • Ensure your calculations are accurate
  • Draw insights from the analysis and show business judgment
  • Communicate your thoughts clearly
  • Most importantly – be yourself and have fun!
